Experience: 0 to 2 years
Work Location: Trivandrum (on-site)
Qualification: B.Tech degree - Preferably Computer Science stream
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Test Engineer (manual testing) to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, the ability to identify defects, and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure software applications meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze system specifications to create detailed test cases.
Execute test cases (functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing).
Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
Perform UI, API, and database testing to ensure end-to-end functionality.
Validate software against business and functional requirements.
Report test results and provide feedback to the development team.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure software quality.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
Ensure test documentation is up-to-date and well-maintained.
Preferred Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
B.Tech degree - Preferably Computer Science stream
0-2 years of experience in manual testing.
Hands on Testing experience or relevant training in software testing.
Basic understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.
Familiarity with test case management and bug-tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla, etc.).
Knowledge of API testing using Postman is a plus.
Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to testing.
Experience in mobile application testing (Android & iOS) and ERP system is a plus
